No more turkey!

So I made it through Thanksgiving and I only gained 4 pounds. That just may be a record for me. I love Thanksgiving, it's just the bloated and extremely full feeling I get when I'm done that I don't particularly enjoy. For 4 days, all I eat is some version of turkey. I hate to see good food go to waste, and I do like turkey. But after 4 consecutive days of gravy smothered turkey, it gets a little old.

After the long weekend, I look forward to getting back to my normal eating patterns. It usually takes a week just to lose the 4 pounds. The other forgotten foods in my life re-emerge in my diet, and I put Thanksgiving behind me. Pizza is back, and man it tastes great! Ditto for grilled chicken and pork chops! Pumpkin pie is forgotten, at least until Christmas, and yams, well, I never liked yams anyway.

The executive staff all had lunch together on Tuesday, and I couldn't decide what to order. I ended up ordering the Turkey melt. So much for learning my lesson over the weekend!

Well, I hope everyone out there has a happy holiday season, and when you carve into that turkey, save a little for me!
