The holidays are here, and the time to pull out your pocketbook and spend is here as well.
I love helping the economy, and that seems to be an important part of the season. With the rough times we are now experiencing across the nation, I plan to do my part to give a boost to our local merchants. The only problem is, I really don't like to shop all that much. When I go shopping, I'm in the store and out in a few minutes, unlike my wife, who could spend all day at the mall. Nothing wears me out more than a day shopping. When I get home I am exhausted. I need another day off just to recover. A day watching football really helps. My wife lives to shop. It makes her happy. It makes her feel good. I feel fine just lounging on the sofa, drinking a cold one, watching sports. Why is it that I get hooked into going shopping with her every year and suffering? My wife doesn't watch sports, except figure skating or gymnastics. I think that's when I should go shopping. I could be back home in 20 minutes. That would leave me time to take a nap. When the football games are playing, she could shop, she would be home 15 minutes after the stores close. Just about the end of the game.
Wow, I think I have a plan now!
