School Presentations and Scholarships

I apologize for not blogging recently, I've been extremely tied up doing school presentations the last month.

The marketing department of OFCU does financial literacy presentations at area high schools. The presentation consists of a budgeting game where students have to pay bills, rent and make spending decisions like they would if they were out in the real world on their own. The game has received great reviews from students and teachers alike. So far this school year we have done presentations at Alamogordo HS, Academy Del Sol, Tularosa HS, Ruidoso HS, NMMI (Roswell) and Goddard HS.

One other project that OFCU has undertaken includes passing out scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Alamogordo HS, Tularosa HS, Cloudcroft HS, Capitan HS, Carrizozo HS, Mescalero HS, Ruidoso HS, Goddard HS and Roswell HS will all be giving out $500 OFCU scholarships this year. If you are interested, please pick up an application at your HS counselors office. OFCU has given out $11,000 in scholarships over the last two years!

Good luck,

Greg
