Tiger's Back!

This past weekend I was lucky enough to catch Tiger Wood's comeback victory on TV. Not only did he come from being down 5 strokes to start the day, it's his first victory since he had major knee surgery last June. Now, if there has been a more dramatic sports star EVER, then please let me know. Michael Jordan was incredible, but Tiger is out of this world. His sense of timing for the dramatic is unequaled.

I think the one thing we can all learn from Tiger is that he is prepared and focused every time he performs. If we were all as prepared for our personal lives as Tiger is for his golf, we would all be incredibly more effective. When Tiger was out recovering from his knee injury, he was able to only practice his short game, and work out in the gym. He has come back from the injury in better shape, and his short game is even better than before. Instead of just sitting around taking a rest, Tiger did the little things to improve. There are always things that we can personally improve on if we set our minds to it. That is Tiger's greatest strength, his mind. He is mentally tougher than everyone else.

Now, it may be impossible to match Tiger's mental toughness, but if we individually commit ourselves to trying to improve in all areas of our personal life, we will be successful in some aspects. Focus like Tiger and work on the small things we are able to, and we can all take steps towards becoming a better person.
